Jennifer Cooper joined FAU in 2019 as the Assistant to the Director of Development at the College of Education (COE), Dr. Jorene Jameson. She also served as an Assistant in the COE Dean’s office. She worked in the COE with numerous scholarships and endowments all while learning to use the Foundation’s alumni database, Raiser’s Edge. With her new database skills, in March 2020, Cooper was transferred to the FAU Foundation’s Advancement Services Team. She now works as the Development Assistant under the direction of Elizabeth Tucker. Also, Cooper continues to work with Dr. Jorene Jameson and The Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholars Program. Most recently, Cooper has become Blackbaud Certified in The Raiser’s Edge NXT/Fundamentals.
- Cooper has an extensive background working for more than 35 years in the corporate business world. She has worked in corporate finance, payroll, retail sales, and customer service departments. Cooper’s strengths are in her detail driven work ethic, data analytics, and research. Working in the corporate sector, she has been involved in numerous company mergers. Additionally, Cooper has over 12 years’ experience as a retail sales associate which helped her hone her excellent customer service skills.
- Cooper also has fundraising and volunteer experience, having worked with numerous state and local community charities, religious organizations, and educational institutions.
