Jennifer Cooper joined FAU in 2019 as the Assistant to the Director of Development at the College of Education (COE). She also served as an Assistant in the COE Dean’s office. She worked in the COE with numerous scholarships and endowments, while learning to use the Foundation’s alumni database, Raiser’s Edge. In March 2020, Jennifer joined the FAU Foundation’s Advancement Services Team as the Development Assistant. As part of her new role, she now works as the Development Assistant under the direction of the Executive Director of Advancement Services. Also, Jennifer continues to work with the Director of Development for The Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholars Program, which she had collaborated with other colleagues to upgrade the KellyStrulScholars.fau.edu website. Jennifer has become Blackbaud Certified in The Raiser’s Edge NXT/Fundamentals.
- Jennifer has an extensive background working for more than 38 years in the corporate business world. She has worked in corporate finance, payroll, retail sales, and customer service departments. Her strengths are in her detail driven work ethic, data analytics, and research. Working in the corporate sector, she has been involved in numerous company mergers. Additionally, Jennifer has over 14 years’ experience as a retail sales associate which helped her hone her excellent customer service skills.
- Jennifer also has fundraising and volunteer experience, having worked with numerous state and local community charities, religious organizations, and educational institutions.
