CAPT Noel J. Gonzalez is a retired submarine captain with an illustrious 30-year military career, including commanding the USS Cheyenne. His remarkable contributions to the AI-ML capabilities of our submarine force have left a lasting impact. With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of Maryland, Noel combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. His extensive military service includes roles on submarines like USS Boise, USS Dallas, USS Georgia, USS Cheyenne, and USS Mississippi, earning numerous accolades, including the Battle “E.” Within the U.S. Special Operations Command, he oversaw SEALs’ mobility funding and played a pivotal role in planning engagements with foreign dignitaries. Beyond his military career, Noel has excelled as an entrepreneur, founding successful companies like SkillMil Inc, Targeted Biosciences, SOTA Manufacturing, and ARGUS Enterprises. His involvement in complex software projects, such as Acculift Laser Capture Microdissection, showcases his versatility. A graduate of both the Harvard School of Business HBx Core and Stanford Graduate School of Business Ignite, Noel’s dynamic career spans both military and civilian sectors. He is a devoted family man, married to Liza Bartis, and the proud father of four children.
