Mickey Zitzmann joined FAU in 2017 to develop partnerships in support of A.D. Henderson University School and FAU High School, the K-12 Laboratory Schools at FAU (ranked the #1 lab school in Florida, and the #2 public elementary school in the country). FAU schools are incubators for the STEM workforce and researchers of tomorrow — and are the only two high schools in the nation where students can simultaneously earn their high school diploma and cost-free bachelor’s degree, paving the way for students to graduate college debt-free.
- Zitzmann joined FAU from Saint Andrew’s School, Boca Raton, where he served as Major & Planned Giving Officer and Director of Capital Giving. While there, he helped build the school’s Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Alumni Programs. He also coached Basketball and was the 2015 recipient of the Ann Marie Krejcarek Leadership Award.
- As a financial aid recipient at Saint Andrew’s School and the University of Michigan, Zitzmann knows first-hand how work in advancement can change lives. He is grateful to play a role in the development of today’s youth, pay back the opportunities he was afforded as a student, and make a difference in the world of education.
