Laurie Carney joined FAU advancement efforts in 1999, now serving as the Schmidt College of Arts and Letters major and principal gifts officer, including legacy and endowment gifts. She works in partnership with the Dean, University-College leadership, and faculty to identify fundraising opportunities to support strategic initiatives and enhance FAU’s reputation of excellence. She is most passionate about creating inspired philanthropic plans and legacy gifts by working closely with Foundation donors.
- Prior to joining FAU, Carney spent 19 years in nonprofit organizations in management positions that included donor recruitment, fundraising, strategic planning, new business development, special events, and marketing.
