Julieta Castro joined Florida Atlantic University in 2026 as Director of University Events, bringing extensive experience in event management, creative design, production, hospitality, and guest experience. In her role, she leads the planning and execution of university events, creating thoughtful and cohesive experiences that reflect the Florida Atlantic brand and foster connection across the university community.
Prior to joining Florida Atlantic, Julieta served as a Special Events Designer at The Boca Raton, where she designed and managed high-level corporate, social and presidential events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale programs, combining creative concept development with production and event execution.
Previously, Julieta served as an Event Manager at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, overseeing performances and special events, including front- and back-of-house operations, production, and guest experience. She also collaborated with the City of Coral Springs, police and fire departments, the museum, and other community partners on civic and community events.
Julieta studied architecture and design at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, a creative foundation that continues to influence her work today. She is passionate about combining design, storytelling, and thoughtful execution to create meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact and celebrate the people, purpose, and spirit of the university.
