Dr. Kimberly A. Dunn joined Florida Atlantic University in 2001 and is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Accounting, Faculty Senate President, Board of Trustees member, and Board Member of Champions Empowering Champions. She has served as Faculty Advisor to Beta Alpha Psi, NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, Director of the School of Accounting, and Director of the Accounting Scholars Program. Kim was awarded the Beta Alpha Psi Teaching Excellence Award, Alumni Association Degree of Difference Award, College of Business Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award, College of Business Dean’s Distinguished Service Fellow, Steward Distinguished Professorship, College of Business Master Teacher designation, and Conference-USA SAAC Choice Award. In addition, she was ranked 41st in the nation for her publications in accounting education research. Kim, the first in her family to attend college, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Alabama, and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University. She is married to Ray, her high-school sweetheart, and they are the proud parents of two sons, Brandon and Caleb, who both originally came to them through the foster care system. Kim enjoys FAU sports, travel, golf, and yoga.
