Florida Atlantic University has received $1.6 million from the Glenn W. Bailey Foundation to extend its Marine SEA (Science, Education, and Arts) Scholars Program within the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science’s Marine Science Laboratory. The program provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate a commitment to become community ambassadors focused on Florida Atlantic Marine Science Lab studies, discoveries and activities. The initial gift launching this program was given in 2020, and this latest gift will extend the program for five more years.

Florida Atlantic University’s Alumni Association (FAUAA) Board of Directors welcomed Eric Dansky ’12, ’15, Joseph Santiago ’97, and Sara Valdivieso ’99, ’04 to its board for a two-year term. The Alumni Association Board provides key assistance with scholarships, community outreach, and association membership.
