Florida Atlantic Foundation Raises $70 Million in 2024 Fiscal Year

The Florida Atlantic University Foundation, Inc. raised over $70 million from more than 11,121 donors during the 2024 fiscal year – the second largest amount raised in the University’s history. As a result of this generosity, Transcend Tomorrow: The Campaign for Florida Atlantic University reached a pivotal milestone during the 2024 fiscal year, achieving over a half billion dollars toward its $600 million goal.

Last week, Florida Atlantic celebrated nearly 2,000 new graduates across four commencement ceremonies. Graduates ranged in age from 18 to 86, and 514 first-generation students achieved their degrees. Congratulations to our newest alumni!

The College of Business Executive MBA program is among the Top 50 Executive MBA programs in the country, according to 2024 rankings from Fortune. The Executive MBA program, housed in the College’s Executive Education Department, ranked No. 39 among the 50 best programs in the country.

Solar Owls Shine in Fort Worth

Last month, a team of 26 FAU High School students competed in the 31st annual Solar Car Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The Florida Atlantic Solar Owls won the Lockheed Martin Award for demonstrating the highest level of engineering excellence and finished second in the competition’s Cruiser Division.

Florida Atlantic Researcher Lands Grant for Personalized Cancer Radiation Therapy

Wazir Muhammad, Ph.D., principal investigator and an assistant professor in the Department of Physics within Florida Atlantic’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, has received a $701,000 grant from Precess Medical Derivatives, Inc. for a project that aims to revolutionize cancer treatment by making it more personalized and effective. The project utilizes artificial intelligence and deep reinforcement learning to enhance treatment and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
