
Darsham Gonzalez was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to two successful immigrant parents. Originally from Ohio, Darsham spent majority of his life in his hometown, Sarasota, Florida, alongside living in Mississippi and Kansas in high school. He returned to Florida during the pandemic, ultimately deciding to stay in state and attend Florida Atlantic University. Currently pursuing a degree in Political Science, Darsham is the first Student Body president from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, serving as a testament to his dedication to representing all students across our FAU campuses. Prior to becoming Student Body President, he served as the Jupiter MacArthur Campus Treasurer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer, helping strategically budget and allocate money to best serve student needs and programs. During his time at FAU, Darsham has been an active member of the Lambda Beta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha and the Leon Charney Diplomacy Program. Serving as a student diplomat, he won a national title at NMUN Washington D.C. in 2023, alongside competing at the additional New York conference. Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Darsham enjoys watching Formula 1, playing tennis, golfing, and traveling internationally.
