Stewart Martin has more than 30 years of experience in the Business Insurance industry. He began his career with Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) – Florida in June 1996, as a producer. In 2013 he was promoted to Executive Vice President. Stewart manages the business insurance programs for a number of MMA’s largest public and privately held clients. With a particular focus on construction, manufacturing/distribution, human capital management and other difficult to place casualty risks, he utilizes his expertise in alternative risk financing programs, such as single parent and group captives, large deductible and self-insured programs. Stewart helps many of his most sophisticated clients achieve the highest return on their investment in risk management.
Stewart began his insurance career in 1990 as the auditing manager for a large self-insurance fund. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1989, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Real Estate. Stewart currently serves/ed on a number of public and private boards, including the Florida Atlantic University Foundation since 2010, serving as Chair from 2018-2020 and on the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Philanthropy Committee, and Investment Committee; Independent Director of ISun, Inc. since 2019, its inception as a public company; Board of Directors for Seitlin, Inc., acquired by Marsh & McLennan Agency in 2011. Stewart is married to Wendy and have two children, Alex & Olivia.
