Providing for Parkinson’s patients and families

Grounded in the Caring philosophy of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center (MWC) is propelling the University’s promising students, nurses and neighbors to strive — and thrive. By expanding the Green Center’s programming and infrastructure to include specialized Parkinson’s therapies, education and care, we will transform the quality of life for adults living with this disease — and the lives of their families and caregivers.

Our Challenge

As a progressive nervous system disorder, Parkinson’s Disease affects hundreds of thousands of adults each year, many in our own community. With limited resources to treat this debilitating disorder, many patients, and their families, struggle to maintain a vibrant quality of life.

Our Vision

Healthy aging and neuroscience are preeminent FAU priorities, and our aim is to expand our inter-professional strengths in ongoing, evidence-based evaluation, management, research, support, education, clinical research and trials, and prevention initiatives to people living with Parkinson’s.

Our Goal

Our ambition is to care for the health and wellbeing of people, from their condition’s onset through the end of their life. With your generous support, we can expand our world-class care at FAU to help people — and their families — living with this challenging disease.
