TBC Corporation Gift Expands Student Opportunities at Florida Atlantic University

Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business and TBC Corporation recently celebrated the naming of the TBC Corporation Study Room, in recognition of a generous gift to support innovative college programs and activities for students.

Expanding program offerings and experiential learning in collaboration with local businesses, a focus of the college, aids in developing a pipeline of skilled employees to meet the needs of the dynamic South Florida business industry and beyond. TBC Corporation will contribute to this effort by providing visiting speakers and co-hosting networking events to inform students about internship and career prospects.

“We’re proud to have our company name associated with a space that will be used by the next generation of business leaders at Florida Atlantic’s College of Business,” said Don Byrd, Chief Executive Officer, TBC Corporation. “With our company’s headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, this strategic partnership will provide access to networking, mentoring and potential career opportunities for future leaders in South Florida.”

The TBC Corporation Study Room, located in the Executive Education Building in the Schmidt Family Complex, primarily provides a space for students, but the college also uses it for events.  Examples are breakout sessions for conferences and meeting rooms for external events, such as the recent NobleCon20, where companies gave small presentations and pitches for capital investments.

“We truly appreciate this significant gift and thank TBC Corporation for its generosity and interest in the success of our students,” said Daniel M. Gropper, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Business. “Entering this partnership opens the door for the exchange of ideas and additional student opportunities.”
