As Director of Development for the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University, Tootie Martin oversees all fundraising and development efforts for the College. He leads major gift strategy and execution in alignment with University priorities and campaigns and works closely with the Dean, College leadership, and faculty to identify funding priorities and secure philanthropic support for high-impact and transformational initiatives.
Mr. Martin joined Florida Atlantic University from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he served as Director of Development for the Morrison Family College of Health, overseeing fundraising for the School of Social Work, Graduate School of Professional Psychology, Department of Health & Exercise Science, and the Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing.
Previously, Mr. Martin spent 10 years on the University Advancement team at Concordia University in St. Paul, where he managed major and principal gift portfolios, supervised major gift fundraisers, and consistently exceeded fundraising goals.
With more than a decade of advancement experience, Mr. Martin is known for building strategic donor partnerships that advance student success, community impact, and institutional excellence. A Florida native born and raised in Panama City, he is proud to serve in his home state. Mr. Martin is also a PhD candidate in Higher Education Leadership at Florida Atlantic University.
