Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business and TBC Corporation recently celebrated the naming of the TBC Corporation Study Room, in recognition of a generous gift to support innovative college programs and activities for students. TBC Corporation will contribute to the college’s success by providing visiting speakers and co-hosting networking events to inform students about internship and career prospects. The TBC Corporation Study Room, located in the Executive Education Building in the Schmidt Family Complex, provides a space for student use that may also be utilized by the college for events, including breakout sessions for conferences and meeting rooms for external events.

Last weekend marked the competitive debut of Florida Atlantic's renovated and expanded Beach Volleyball complex. The transformation of the "Beach Burrow" was made possible thanks to a portion of a $5 million gift made by Michelle and Michael Hagerty in 2022, as well as a generous contribution from the Lawlor family. This project provides the team with additional courts for training, and allows the Sandy Owls to host larger tournaments with a more competitive field.

The College of Business’ part-time MBA rank rose to No. 110, up from No. 115 last year. Also making considerable gains is the percent of Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine graduates practicing in underserved areas or health profession shortage areas, ranked at No. 27, up from No. 97 in 2024.

Freeland was signed to a five-year contract following an impressive run leading nearby Nova Southeastern University.
