The state of Florida’s matching gift program is an important incentive for private giving, providing donors with the opportunity to increase their gifts substantially. Under this multi-level program, gifts of $100,000 or more that are used to establish faculty programs or scholarship endowments are eligible to be leveraged by state funding.
Gifts are matched as follows: - Gifts of $100,000 to $599,999 receive matching state funds equal to 50% of the gift
- Gifts of $600,000 to $1,000,000 are matched at 70%
- Gifts of $1,000,001 to $1,500,000 are matched at 75%
- Gifts of $1,500,001 to $2,000,000 are matched at 80%
- Gifts in excess of $2,000,000 receive 100% in matching funds
